PeaBerry beans can taste quite different to ordinary beans. This can be attributed to the shape rather than the chemical makeup of the bean. A PeaBerry occurs where a single bean is produced inside the cherry rather than being one of two. This makes them smaller and rounder therefore roasting quite quickly even though it is a harder bean.
This Kenyan PeaBerry is a sweet and fruity bean, high in acidity with medium to full body.
Flavour notes will tend toward bright and fruity with a slight hint of citrus. These are characteristics of coffees originating from the African continent.
